Aračkinje Baračkinje
Also known as Jelečkinje-Barjačkinje, Serbian Red Rover
Two lines of children link hands and challenge each other, the called player charges the opposing line trying to break through and claim a prisoner.
How to play
Players divide into two equal teams and form two parallel lines about 10 metres apart, each player gripping their neighbour's hands firmly.
Team A shouts 'Aračkinje baračkinje, koga ćete?' (Who do you want?).
Team B calls a name from Team A.
That named player sprints at Team B's chain and tries to smash through the linked hands.
If they break through, they grab one Team B player and brings them back to Team A, Team A gains a player.
If they fail to break through, they stay and join Team B.
The game ends when all players are on one side.
Keep it fair
Grabbing hair, clothing or necks is banned, the charge must be with the arms and body against the chain only. Say this clearly before play starts.
