Chhupamari
Also known as Lukamari (Nepal), Choidum, Khoppi
Nepal's traditional hide-and-seek, where the seeker must find all hiders and race back to the base before being sneaked past.
How to play
One player is chosen as the seeker.
A home base is agreed upon (a tree, a wall, a rock).
The seeker covers their eyes and counts to an agreed number (20-50) while everyone else hides.
The seeker then hunts for hiders.
If the seeker spots a hider they shout the hider's name and race back to touch the base saying 'Chhupamari, [name]!' If they touch base first, that hider is out.
But if a hidden player sneaks to the base and touches it before the seeker returns, all caught players are freed.
Last person found or captured becomes the next seeker.
Keep it fair
The seeker must clearly say both the name and 'Chhupamari' before touching base, name alone does not count. This prevents arguments about whether a spotting was official.
