The rules

How to play

1

Sit in a circle, each player's right hand resting on the neighbour's left palm.

2

Chant the rhyme, 'Down by the banks of the Hanky Panky…', slapping the beat around the circle from hand to hand.

3

Whoever is slapped on the final word is out, unless they pull their hand away in time, in which case the slapper is out.

4

The last two players finish with a quick-draw face-off.

Keep it fair

Agree the full rhyme and the final word before starting, half the arguments are just two versions of the song colliding.
