If You Are Born In

A circle clapping-and-dance game where children called by birth month take turns dancing to the centre.
How to play
All players stand in a circle clapping a steady rhythm together and singing the 'If You Are Born In…' chant.
The caller (who may be inside the circle) begins naming months chronologically: 'If you are born in January, come!' Players born in that month walk or dance into the centre and perform their own personal dance move for a few seconds, then rejoin the circle.
The game moves through all twelve months.
Players love showing creative moves, and the group cheers each dancer.
At the end, the group votes by cheering for the best move, that player becomes the new caller.
Keep it fair
If two players claim the same birth month is in dispute, both get to dance, more dancers, more fun.
