Intu Mintu
Also known as Intu Mintu London Ma
A Nepali bridge game, two captains trap players one at a time under lowered arms and secretly sort them into teams for a final tug-of-war.
How to play
Two captains secretly choose alternate code names (e.g., a fruit and an animal).
They face each other, hold hands above their heads to form a bridge, and all other players form a single-file line passing underneath repeatedly while everyone chants the Intu Mintu song.
At the word 'jhyaapa' the captains drop their arms to catch whoever is underneath.
That player is taken aside, whispered the two code names, and chooses one, joining that captain's team behind them.
Continue until all are caught.
Teams line up and play tug-of-war; the winning side wins the game.
Keep it fair
Captains must agree on code names before the game starts and must not change them mid-game. If a player claims they weren't fairly captured, the rule is: if any part of you was inside the bridge when arms dropped, you are caught.
