How to play

1

Collect five smooth pebbles.

2

Scatter all five on the ground.

3

Toss one pebble into the air; while it is airborne, pick up one pebble from the ground with the same hand, then catch the tossed pebble before it lands.

4

Continue: toss, collect one, catch.

5

Once all four ground pebbles are collected one-by-one, scatter them again and now collect them two-at-a-time per toss.

6

Then three and one, then all four at once.

7

If you drop the tossed pebble or fail the catch, your turn ends and the next player starts.

8

Players keep track of the stage they reached; first to complete all four stages wins.

Keep it fair

Each player must clearly call which stage they are on before their turn begins, if they claim a higher stage than they have reached, they forfeit that turn and revert to the last agreed stage.
