The rules
How to play
1
Two players hold hands overhead to form an arch (the gate).
2
The rest form a single line and weave in and out under the arch while the two gatekeepers sing the Toryanse folk song.
3
When the song ends on the final word, the arch drops and traps whoever is passing through.
4
That player becomes the new gatekeeper, replacing one of the pair.
5
The game loops as long as players want.
Keep it fair
Both gatekeepers must agree on the final word before starting, one person singing faster than the other causes arguments about when the arch was supposed to drop.
