Vasilias
Also known as Βασιλιάς, The King, Le roi
The King sits apart while players choose a secret profession to mime; the King must guess it to swap roles.
How to play
One player is the Vasilias (King) and sits apart while others huddle and silently agree on a profession to mime (baker, fisherman, doctor, etc.).
Players approach the King and recite the traditional call-and-response dialogue: 'King, king with the 12 swords, what is your job?' King: 'Doing nothing.'
Players: 'And your wages?' King: 'Ice cream.'
Players then begin miming their chosen profession together.
If the King correctly guesses the profession, all players flee and the King chases them, whoever is tagged becomes the new King.
If the King guesses wrong, they must remain King for another round.
Keep it fair
Players mime for at least 30 seconds before the King can guess, rushing the guess leads to lucky guesses and complaints that the mime was too vague.
