The rules

How to play

1

Mark four or more bases around the play area (trees, wall-corners, chalk circles).

2

One player is It and stands in the middle with no base.

3

Players at bases make eye contact and silently agree to run and swap places.

4

The It player watches for any movement and races to claim an empty base.

5

The player left without a base becomes the new It.

6

Players cannot return to their own base, they must always run to a different one.

Keep it fair

Only the first player to clearly touch the base claims it, ties are settled by the person already defending it. This prevents pushing and shoving.
