The rules
How to play
1
Two teams pick forts (a tree, pole, or marked spot).
2
A player who has just touched their own fort is 'freshest' and can tag anyone who left their fort earlier.
3
Tagged players are captured and must stay near the enemy fort until rescued by a teammate who touches them without being tagged themselves.
4
A team wins by successfully touching the rival fort while their captor is away.
Keep it fair
The 'freshness' rule is the biggest source of confusion, before starting, do a quick demonstration of who can tag whom based on how recently they left their fort.
