How to play

1

One player is 'it' (the Ebe) and counts at home base with eyes closed.

2

Hiders scatter and hide.

3

The seeker then searches; if they spot a hider, both race back to home base, if the hider touches base first and shouts 'Sobe!', they are safe.

4

The first hider caught without making it back becomes the next Ebe.

Keep it fair

The Ebe counts to an agreed number out loud, 20 for young kids, 50 for older. If there is a dispute about whether the hider beat the seeker home, both children replay that round from scratch rather than arguing.
