I Sell Oil I Sell Honey
Also known as Yağ Satarım Bal Satarım
Circle game where one player circles outside chanting and secretly drops a handkerchief behind a seated child.
How to play
Players sit in a circle facing inward.
One player is 'it' and walks around the outside chanting 'Yağ satarım, bal satarım' (I sell oil, I sell honey, my master died, I must sell).
Seated players cannot look behind them, they may only feel the ground.
The walker secretly drops a handkerchief behind someone.
When that player feels it, they jump up and chase the walker around the circle.
If the walker reaches the empty spot before being tapped, the chaser becomes the new walker.
Keep it fair
The seated player must feel the handkerchief themselves, no peeking and no one else telling them. The walker gets one full circuit before the seated player notices, so no short-cutting the route.
