The rules
How to play
1
Children walk in a circle holding hands singing 'Jane and Louisa will soon come home, into this beautiful garden.'
2
One child walks in the center.
3
On the lyric 'pick the one you love the best' the center child gently taps another player.
4
That player joins them in the center; they dance together briefly, then the original center child joins the ring and the chosen child becomes the next center player.
Keep it fair
To avoid hurt feelings, tell children in advance that everyone will get a turn in the center, keep a rotation order so no one is left out.
