The rules

How to play

1

Draw a rectangle divided by parallel lines (one per defender) and a central lengthwise line.

2

The attacking team tries to run from the home base to the far end and back without being tagged.

3

Defenders must keep both feet on their assigned line at all times and can only move laterally to intercept attackers.

4

If any attacker is tagged, the whole attacking team switches to defense.

5

The attacking team scores a point when all members complete a full run.

Keep it fair

Disputes about whether a tag was made or a foot left the line are common, appoint one neutral referee who stands at the side and makes all calls.
