How to play

1

One player is 'it' (taya).

2

They face a tree or wall and sing the chant 'Tagu-taguan, maliwanag ang buwan' while others hide.

3

After the chant the taya seeks.

4

Each found player must race back to touch the home base before the taya does, if they succeed they are safe; if taya beats them to base they are the next taya.

5

Traditionally played at dusk or by moonlight.

Keep it fair

If it is unclear who reached base first, the taya gets the benefit of the doubt on the first disputed call; alternate for subsequent calls to keep things fair.
