The rules
How to play
1
Players stand in a circle.
2
One player goes to the centre.
3
The group sings 'Bee baw babbity, babbity, babbity, bee baw babbity, a lassie or a laddie?' The centre player dances and then points to choose someone from the circle, who joins them in the middle.
4
Together they dance for the next verse.
5
The second player then chooses a third, and so on, until the circle has mostly joined the middle group.
Keep it fair
If a child is not chosen after several rounds, quietly prompt the player in the middle to pick them next. The goal is for everyone to feel included.
