The rules
How to play

Players form a circle holding hands and walk or skip around singing: 'Ring a ring o' roses, a pocket full of posies, A-tishoo! A-tishoo! We all fall down.'

On 'fall down' everyone drops to the ground as dramatically as possible.

For older groups, add the standing-up verse: 'The cows are in the meadow eating buttercups, A-tishoo! A-tishoo! We all jump up!' Players jump up on the last word.
Keep it fair
For very young children, make it clear everyone falls together on the same word, the fun is synchronising. No one is ever out; this is a cooperative singing game.
