Loup y es-tu?
Also known as Promenons-nous dans les bois, Are You There Wolf?, Wolf Are You There
Children walk through the 'woods' calling to a wolf hiding nearby; the wolf answers by naming items of clothing until fully dressed, then gives chase.
How to play
One child is the Wolf and hides or stands apart pretending to dress.
The others walk together singing the repeated chorus 'Promenons-nous dans les bois, pendant que le loup n'y est pas.
Loup, y es-tu? Que fais-tu? M'entends-tu?' The Wolf replies each round that they are putting on a clothing item ('I'm putting on my shirt... my trousers... my boots').
After several rounds, when fully dressed, the Wolf shouts 'Je vous mange!' (I'm going to eat you!) and chases everyone back to the safe base.
Whoever is tagged becomes the new Wolf.
Keep it fair
Let the Wolf decide how many clothing items before the chase, agree this upfront so the timing isn't disputed.
