Bro Bro Brille
Also known as Bridge Bridge Glasses
A Norwegian singing game where two children form a bridge; others walk under it until the bridge falls and traps one child who must choose a side.
How to play
Two children stand facing each other, clasping both hands and raising their arms as high as possible to form a bridge.
The other children form a line and walk under the bridge one by one while the group sings the traditional rhyme.
At the end of the song the two bridge-children lower their arms and 'trap' whoever is passing through.
That child is whispered a secret choice (e.g. moon or stars) and must choose one, then stand behind the corresponding bridge child.
This repeats until all children are divided; the game ends with a tug-of-war between the two lines.
Keep it fair
Keep the two secret choices genuinely balanced and reveal them at the very end, early reveals cause kids to loiter near the stronger-seeming side.
